Categories of dental implants Part1

Conventional Dental Implants.

Conventional dental implants are performed, especially when the patient does not meet the requirements for a dental implant for immediate loading.

The technique used for conventional dental implants involves two stages:

1 - surgery is performed to open the flap on the gum, which is the place where the dental implant is inserted, once implanted closes the flap of the gum with one or two points for proper wound healing.

It is necessary to wait for osseointegration of dental implants for two or three months, This is in a plain, the color and consistency of the bone surrounding the dental implant is similar to the rest of the maxilla.

2 - Once you have verified compliance with this process, we proceed to the second phase, consisting of re-opening the gum, just enough to make the connection between dental implant and prosthesis. This will be in charge of holding the crown.

In 90% of cases with patients can immediate load dental implants, but when the patient does not have enough bone in the area where you place the dental implant, you opt for lazy loading.

The idea is that, if the bone is not ready for such a burden, let it grow for two or three months to the process of osseointegration (the integration of the dental implant to the bone), and then receive the dental implant conventional.

Other causes that lead to the patient receiving the conventional dental implant is when rechineo has habits like teeth or biting nails. Also, the specialist must determine which patients will not follow the specific recommendations for the type of implant immediately loaded (like eating soft foods the first few weeks or performing daily oral hygiene), and suggest the conventional dental implant.
